Hear what buyers say when you're not in the room.

Alium interviews the people who buy martech, ecommerce and CX software about the tools they use and the ones they're about to drop. You get the full picture of each target account, a candid read on your competitors, and introductions to buyers who want to meet you.

Any upcoming RFPs, vendor reviews, or contract renewals where you might be looking at alternatives?
We're using a social media tool called [vendor] that we're about to replace.
On a scale of one to 10, how satisfied are you with [vendor]?
Eight.
Can you share what's driving that decision?
Cost, mainly. I think there's a feature for influencers and creators where another platform is stronger.

They give their current tool an 8 and they're leaving it anyway. Nothing in their vendor's CRM would tell you that.

What's in Alium

Every conversation we have with a buyer feeds into three parts of Alium.

Every target account, over time

We talk to different people at the same company, months apart. Each account page puts those interviews together: what the team runs and how they rate it, what they've replaced, what they're shopping for now, and answers to your questions with the interviews they came from.

Sales uses it to prep for a first call. Customer success uses it to see how their own accounts are changing.

Competitive intel from your competitors' customers

Every vendor has a profile built from what its customers told us: how they rate it, what they like, what they complain about, and what else they buy. Each point links back to the interviews behind it.

Product marketing uses it for positioning and battlecards, and to see why buyers leave a competitor long before a lost deal would tell you.

Meet buyers who want to meet you

Some buyers tell us they're open to hearing from vendors. When one of them is in your market, you can ask for a meeting: write a short pitch based on what they said in their interview, we review it and pass it on, and if they say yes we book the call. Every introduction is double opt-in, so the buyer has already read your pitch before they show up.

How Yotpo uses intros

  1. Pending review

You request the intro from the buyer's interview, with a pitch and a few times.

  2. Awaiting reply

We check the pitch and send it to the buyer.

  3. Scheduled

The buyer picks a time. We book the Zoom and send both of you the invite.

  4. Completed

You meet. The recording is waiting on the intro's page afterwards.

Ask ChatGPT, Claude or Copilot what buyers said

Connect Alium to the AI assistant your team already uses and ask in plain English. Answers come from the interviews and link back to them. For some teams this ends up being the main way they use Alium.

Example question, answered from two real Alium interviews. Company and vendor names removed here; customers see them.

In your AI assistant

Claude, ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot. Ask in plain English; the answer comes from real interviews and cites them.

SalesforceHubSpot

In your CRM

Alium on the Salesforce account record, with an alert to the owner when a new interview lands. In HubSpot, Alium data on the company record.

Slack

In Slack

Ask the Alium app in any channel and share the answer with your team.

Zapiern8n

In whatever you build

A REST API, real-time webhooks for every published interview, and Zapier. Your own agents (Copilot Studio, Agentforce, or custom) connect through MCP too.

What's MCP?

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the open standard AI assistants use to connect to outside data. Claude, ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot all support it. Connect Alium once with your Alium login, and your assistant can search every interview your team has access to, pull the details, and cite its sources. It's read-only, so it can look things up but can't change anything.

See every integration

It all starts with a conversation

Marketing, ecommerce and CX leaders walk us through their stack tool by tool: what they use, how they'd rate it, what they're replacing and why, and what's coming up for renewal. Each interview is searchable on its own, and it feeds the account pages and vendor profiles above.

Everyone we interview confirms a company email at their current employer; personal addresses don't count. They also agree to a code of conduct: disclose conflicts of interest, and don't share anything covered by an NDA. There's never a vendor on the call, which is why they're candid.

Why not intent data or an analyst report?

Intent data

This account is researching your category.

A guess based on web activity. It doesn't say why or when, and your competitors buy the same feed.

Analysts and review sites

Here's the market map.

Good for the big picture, but updated slowly, and rankings can depend on who pays. They say nothing about the account you're working.

Alium

They rate their tool an 8 and they're replacing it because of cost.

The buyer tells us directly what they use, what they think of it and what they plan to do next.
